Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

Cooking the Chicken

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  • Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over it, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables. Drizzle extra sauce over the chicken for added flavor. Avoid overcrowding the skillet for even cooking and browning.
