Ingredients

Blueberry Syrup

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp honey or sugar optional, to taste

Tea Base

  • 2 cups water for steeping tea
  • 3 bags black or green tea adjust based on strength preference
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

For Serving

  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 4 slices lemon for garnish
  • 4 leaves fresh mint for garnish

Instructions

  • Make the blueberry syrup: In a saucepan, combine blueberries, 2 cups water, and honey or sugar if using. Simmer for 10 minutes, mashing berries to release juices. Strain through a sieve and discard solids.
  • Steep the tea: Boil remaining 2 cups of water. Add tea bags and steep for 4–5 minutes (black) or 2–3 minutes (green). Remove bags and let cool.
  • Combine: In a pitcher, mix the strained blueberry syrup, brewed tea, and lemon juice. Stir well and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  • Serve: Pour over ice in glasses and garnish with lemon slices, mint, and extra blueberries if desired.

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor. Try herbal teas like hibiscus for a caffeine-free twist. Make fruity ice cubes with mint and berries for a beautiful presentation. For a fizzy version, replace part of the tea with sparkling water before serving.
