  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel tomatoes with green chilies, undrained Can substitute with diced tomatoes without chilies for milder flavors.

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can use any type of shredded cheese, such as Monterey Jack or pepper jack.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp onion powder Adjust to taste.

To Serve

  • Tortilla chips For dipping.

Preparation

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the softened cream cheese and Rotel tomatoes. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and fully mixed in.
  • Add the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until the cheeses are melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Once everything is well combined and melted, remove the saucepan from the heat.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and enjoy warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

Stir continuously while heating to ensure an even melt. Consider adding milk for extra creaminess if the dip seems too thick. Serve immediately for the best texture, as it thickens when cooled.
