  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced Cut into small, even pieces.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For stir-frying.
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free version.
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper sauce Adjust based on spice preference.
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving White, brown, or cauliflower rice.

Cooking

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken and stir-fry until browned and cooked through.
  • Add the garlic and ginger, stir-frying for another minute until fragrant.
  • Add the bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot, stir-frying until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
  • In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, black pepper sauce, and sugar; pour over the stir-fry.
  • Stir well to combine, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Season with salt to taste and serve over cooked rice.

Notes

To store leftovers, cool completely and refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat before serving. Optionally, garnish with green onions or sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation.
