  • 4 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts You can use chicken thighs for richer flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Substitute with avocado oil if preferred.

  • optional Garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika Feel free to omit or add based on your taste.

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Use homemade or a sugar-free version for healthier option.

To Serve

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill or oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and any optional spices.

Cooking

  • If grilling, place the chicken on the grill for 6-7 minutes on each side.
  • If baking, transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • During the last few minutes of cooking, brush BBQ sauce on both sides of the chicken.

Serving

  • Once cooked through, remove the chicken from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
