  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Boneless skinless preferred
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Choose your favorite brand
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste none Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  • In a bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  • Set the crockpot to low and cook for 6-8 hours, or until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.

Serving

  • Shred the chicken with two forks.
  • Serve in buns for sandwiches with coleslaw.
  • Spoon over rice or mashed potatoes.
  • Use in tacos or quesadillas with cheese and lettuce.

Notes

Cool to room temperature before storing. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
