A delightful and charming Hello Kitty–themed cake that will bring smiles to any celebration. With a soft vanilla sponge, creamy buttercream frosting, and adorable fondant decorations, this cake blends whimsy and sweetness in every bite.

Instructions
Preheat oven to 175 °C (350 °F). Grease and flour two 8‑inch round cake pans.
In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, mixing just until combined.
Divide batter into pans and bake for 25–30 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes in pans, then on a wire rack.
Beat butter for frosting, gradually mix in powdered sugar, then milk until smooth. Color as desired.
Level cakes. Spread frosting between layers, then frost outside of cake.
Top with rolled white fondant shaped like Hello Kitty’s face. Add eyes, bow, and decorations using colored fondant or chocolate chips.
Notes
Wrap cake layers and refrigerate overnight for easier decorating. Substitute fondant with piped buttercream if preferred. Store cake at room temperature up to 3 days or refrigerate.
