Ingredients
  

For the Beef Mixture

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

For the Sandwich

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices sourdough or white bread
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
  • Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • Season the mixture with salt and pepper. Add Worcestershire sauce and beef broth. Let it simmer until the liquid reduces.

Grilling

  • Butter one side of each slice of bread. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  • Place two slices of bread, butter side down, on the skillet.
  • Add cheddar cheese, the beef mixture, and mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Place the remaining slices of bread on top, butter side up.
  • Grill each side for 3–4 minutes until golden and the cheese melts. Flip carefully.
  • Slice and serve warm. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Serve warm with a side salad or fries. Best enjoyed with marinara or ranch dressing.
