Ingredients
  

For the salmon

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (6 oz each) Make sure to pat dry before cooking.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Can be replaced with white sugar or coconut sugar.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Use low sodium for a healthier option.
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted Melted before adding to glaze mixture.
  • 1 tablespoon honey Adjust sweetness as desired.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped For garnishing.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika until smooth.

Baking

  • Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush generously with half of the glaze mixture, coating the tops and sides.
  • Bake for 8 minutes, then remove from the oven and brush with the remaining glaze mixture.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  • Remove from the oven and let rest for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad. It pairs wonderfully with rice or baked potatoes. Add a lemon wedge for a zesty touch. Store leftovers in an airtight container and consume within two days for optimal freshness.
