Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (6 oz each)

For the glaze

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and pat the salmon fillets dry.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika.

Cooking

  • Place the salmon on the baking sheet and brush with half of the glaze.
  • Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and brush with the remaining glaze.
  • Bake for an additional 8-10 minutes until the salmon flakes easily and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • Remove from the oven, let it rest for 2 minutes, sprinkle with parsley, and serve.

Notes

Make sure to pat the salmon dry before adding the glaze. For a fun twist, add some zest from a lemon or orange to the glaze for a citrusy flavor. Keep an eye on the salmon while it bakes; cooking times may vary slightly based on the thickness of your fillets. If you have leftovers, cool to room temperature and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
