  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Tender and boneless chicken breasts.
  • 1/2 cup butter Unsalted butter preferred.
  • 1 piece onion, chopped Yellow or white onion works best.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Alternatively, use coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 tablespoon paprika Sweet or smoked paprika can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground is recommended.
  • 1/2 cup parsley, chopped For garnish.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  • Add the chicken breasts and season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned on both sides and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve warm directly from the skillet. Ideal pairings include rice, mashed potatoes, or a fresh garden salad. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
