Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (e.g., fettuccine or spaghetti)
  • 1 pound steak (e.g., sirloin or flank steak), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha or chili sauce, adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces, seasoning with salt and pepper, and sear until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, lower the heat and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add soy sauce, honey, and sriracha to the skillet, stirring to combine and create a sticky sauce. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
  • Return the steak to the skillet, mixing it with the sauce.
  • Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, ensuring it's well coated with the sauce.

Serving

  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Make sure to not overcook the steak; it should be seared but still tender. Adjust the amount of sriracha based on your spice tolerance. For added flavor, consider marinating the steak in soy sauce, garlic, and honey for a couple of hours before cooking. If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
