Ingredients
  

Meatball Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs Use plain or seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped For garnish, reserve some green onions.
  • 1 large egg Bind the ingredients together.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced Adjust according to taste.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper

Vegetable Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

Sauce Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

Serving Suggestions

  • Cooked rice or noodles For serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, green onions, egg, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into meatballs.
  • Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and add broccoli florets around them.

Sauce Preparation

  • In a separate bowl, mix together brown sugar, 1/4 cup soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar.
  • Pour the sauce over the meatballs and broccoli.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through.

Notes

Make sure to mix the meatball ingredients well to ensure they hold together while cooking. For added flavor, adjust amount of garlic and ginger as desired. Broil the meatballs for a few minutes for an extra crunch.
