Ingredients
  

For the Base

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound)
  • 8 ounces egg noodles Can substitute with spaghetti or rice noodles.

For the Sauce & Flavor

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use low-sodium for less salt.
  • 1/4 cup honey Can substitute with maple syrup or sugar-free syrup.
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar Apple cider vinegar can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Can swap with arrowroot powder.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil Adds toasty flavor.

To Serve

  • 2 pieces green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Cook the Noodles

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Add the egg noodles and cook according to package directions, about 5–7 minutes, until al dente.
  • Drain the noodles and set aside, reserving about 1/4 cup of the pasta water.

Prepare the Chicken

  • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add sesame oil.
  • Add the chicken and cook about 6–7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove from skillet and rest a few minutes before slicing.

Make the Sticky Sauce

  • Lower the skillet heat to medium and add minced garlic, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and cornstarch until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into the skillet and stir continuously until the sauce thickens, about 2–3 minutes.

Combine Everything

  • Slice the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces and return it to the skillet, stirring to coat in the sauce.
  • Add the drained noodles and toss until well combined, adding reserved pasta water if needed.

Serve and Garnish

  • Divide the sticky garlic chicken noodles among plates.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

For best texture, serve immediately as noodles may absorb sauce if left too long. Optional flavor variations include adding red pepper flakes for spice or grated ginger for warmth.
