Ingredients
  

For the chicken

  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced

For the sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey Adjust sweetness to taste
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated

For serving

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • Green onions, chopped For garnish
  • Sesame seeds For garnish

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create the sauce.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the diced chicken until browned and cooked through.

Cooking

  • Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve the sticky chicken over cooked rice, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

To store leftover Sticky Chicken Rice Bowls, place them in an airtight container and refrigerate for 3 to 4 days. Reheat in the microwave or stove until warmed through. Make sure the chicken is no longer pink inside for safety. You can also add cooked vegetables like broccoli or bell peppers for additional texture.
