Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 1.5 lbs boneless & skinless chicken thighs Thighs provide more juiciness.
  • 1 tsp salt (kosher recommended) For seasoning.
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper For seasoning.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder For seasoning.
  • 1 tsp ginger powder (or fresh minced ginger) For seasoning.
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes Adjust according to spice preference.
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil Can substitute with olive oil.

For the Sauce

  • 0.5 cup Bang Bang Sauce (store-bought or homemade) If unavailable, make your own with mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha.

To Serve

  • Steamed rice or fresh veggies For serving.

Preparation

  • Combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, ginger powder, and red pepper flakes in a bowl. Rub this seasoning mix all over the chicken thighs.
  • In a large skillet, pour in the vegetable oil and heat over medium-high until shimmering.

Cooking

  • Carefully place the seasoned chicken thighs in the skillet. Sear for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low. Drizzle the Bang Bang Sauce over the chicken and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Plate the chicken and drizzle remaining sauce on top. Serve with steamed rice or fresh veggies.

Notes

Make sure your skillet is hot enough before adding chicken. Marinate chicken for extra flavor. Avoid overcrowding the skillet. Let chicken rest before cutting.
