  • 1 piece turkey breast Thawed completely if frozen
  • ½ tbsp olive oil Used for searing
  • 1 lb ground turkey Add if desired for stuffing or extra protein
  • 1 cup chicken broth Low sodium if preferred
  • 1 large onion, chopped Adds flavor
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp thyme Dried or fresh
  • 1 tsp rosemary Dried or fresh

Preparation

  • Heat olive oil in the slow cooker.
  • Sear the turkey breast on all sides until golden brown.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the slow cooker.
  • Pour the chicken broth over the turkey.
  • Season with salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the turkey is cooked through and tender.
  • Remove the turkey, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

Store any leftover turkey in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to three months. Adjust the seasonings to taste and add vegetables like carrots and celery for a complete meal.
