Preparation

  • Place the chicken and chopped bacon in a 6-quart slow cooker.
  • In a saucepan, combine the cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, ranch dressing mix, and cheddar cheese.
  • Cook over medium heat until everything is well combined and smooth.
  • Pour this creamy sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours until the chicken is tender.

Serving

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Use frozen chicken breasts if you're short on time; just extend the cooking time slightly. For extra flavor, consider adding chopped onions or garlic to the slow cooker.
