Ingredients
  

For the marinade

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Adjust for sweetness preference.
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Optional for thickening.

For the wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings Can use frozen, thaw completely before marinating.
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions for garnish

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  • Marinate the chicken wings in the mixture for at least 1 hour.

Cooking

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the wings on the sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy.
  • In a small saucepan, bring the marinade to a boil. If desired, add cornstarch to thicken.
  • Coat the baked wings with the glaze and serve garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil the wings for a few minutes after baking. Marinating longer than an hour will give even more flavor. If desired, for a bit of spice, mix in red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
