Peach Ice Cream
A delightful homemade peach ice cream that perfectly balances sweetness and creaminess, ideal for summertime and family gatherings.
Ingredients
For the Base
- 4 pieces ripe peaches Fresher peaches yield better flavor.
- 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with light cream or half-and-half.
- 1 cup milk
- 3/4 cup sugar Adjust according to your taste; honey or sugar substitutes can be used.
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
Preparation
- Peel and slice the peaches, removing the pits.
- In a blender, combine the sliced peaches, heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Churning & Freezing
- Pour the blended mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
- Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours until firm.
- Once firm, scoop the peach ice cream into bowls and serve chilled.
Notes
For a firmer ice cream, allow it to set in the freezer longer after churning. Chill your ice cream maker’s bowl in advance to speed up the churning process.
