Ingredients
  

For the marinade

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Extra virgin olive oil for added flavor.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic gives the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard Can substitute with spicy mustard.
  • 1 tablespoon honey For a spicy version, substitute with sweet chili sauce.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to personal preference.

For the salmon

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets Choose wild-caught for best flavor.
  • 1 lemon lemon wedges For serving, enhances the flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the marinade generously over the salmon.

Cooking

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer storage. For extra crispiness, broil the salmon for the last few minutes of baking.
