  • 1 package 1 package (15.35 oz) of Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz 8 oz of cream cheese, softened Use room temperature for smoother mixture.
  • 16 oz 16 oz of chocolate (dark, milk, or white) Experiment with different types for variety.
  • to taste Optional: sprinkles or crushed Oreos for decoration

Preparation

  • Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs either using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and rolling with a pin.
  • In a bowl, mix the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese until fully combined and smooth.
  • Scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll them into 1-inch balls. Place these on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Chill the baking sheet in the fridge for about 30 minutes to firm the truffles.
  • Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
  • Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork, allow the excess to drip off, then place back on the parchment.
  • Sprinkle crushed Oreos or sprinkles on top before the chocolate sets.
  • Allow the truffles to sit until the chocolate hardens completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week, or freeze for up to three months, separating layers with parchment paper. Use room temperature cream cheese for a smoother mixture. You can add different flavors by mixing in extracts or using different types of cookies.
