Ingredients

For the Base

  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 8 ounces pasta (like penne or farfalle)
  • 3 cups chicken broth Use warm broth to maintain temperature
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can be substituted with half-and-half for a lighter version

For the Sauce

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese Nutritional yeast can be used for a dairy-free option
  • to taste salt and pepper Season gradually to taste

To Serve

  • to taste fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

Cooking the Chicken

  • Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the diced chicken and sauté until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  • The chicken should no longer be pink inside.

Adding the Garlic

  • Add the minced garlic to the pot and sauté for another minute, ensuring it doesn’t burn.

Combining Ingredients

  • Stir in the pasta, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  • Cook until the pasta is al dente, which usually takes about 10 minutes.

Finishing the Dish

  • Once the pasta is cooked, stir in the grated parmesan cheese until it melts and combines with the sauce.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste. The sauce should be creamy and coat the pasta nicely.

Serving

  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your dish warm!

Notes

For variations, consider adding fresh vegetables, spicy elements, or different cheeses. Make sure to stir the pasta occasionally while it cooks for even texture.
