  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1.5 cups milk (or almond milk for dairy-free) Use almond milk for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 large apple, diced Use your favorite apple variety for best flavor.
  • 2 large eggs Can substitute with flaxseed meal or applesauce for a vegan option.
  • 0.25 cups maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon Experiment with spices for additional flavor.
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 cups chopped walnuts or pecans (optional) For added texture.

Instructions
 

Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

Mix the Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  • Stir in oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Fold in diced apples and nuts (if using).

Bake

  • Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.

Serve

  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, or refrigerate and reheat for a quick breakfast.

Notes

Serve warm topped with extra diced apples, honey or maple syrup, and yogurt. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
