Ingredients
  

For the Base

  • 1 cup milk (dairy or your favorite plant-based milk) Use almond, oat, or coconut milk for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 tsp butterfly pea tea (loose or in a teabag) High-quality butterfly pea tea is recommended for best color and flavor.

For the Flavor

  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon Adjust according to taste. Optionally, try adding nutmeg.
  • 1 tsp honey Or adjust to taste. Maple syrup or agave can be used for a vegan option.

Preparation

  • In a small pot, gently warm 1 cup of milk over medium heat. Avoid boiling; just let it get hot enough for steeping.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of butterfly pea tea to the hot milk. Allow it to steep for 3-5 minutes until the milk turns a rich blue color. Strain the tea or remove the teabag afterward.
  • Stir in 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of honey until both dissolve completely. Adjust honey to your preferred sweetness.
  • If you enjoy a frothy texture, utilize a milk frother or whisk to create foam on top of the tea.
  • Pour the Moon Milk Tea into your favorite cup and sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon on top for a cozy finish.

Notes
