  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Use block cheese for better melting.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Use low-moisture cheese for best results.

For the Butter Mixture

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Use unsalted for controlled salt levels.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Optional; adds savory flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs Oregano or basil; optional.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a small bowl, combine the softened butter with garlic powder and dried herbs (if using) until smooth and well-mixed.
  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating them completely. Spread the butter mixture generously on both cut sides of the rolls. Layer the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese inside.

Baking

  • Place the assembled rolls on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes before serving. Cut apart the individual sliders and enjoy!

Notes
