Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 unit onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 unit egg
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • 100 ml milk
  • to taste Salt and pepper

For the Sauce

  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

For the Mashed Potatoes

  • 1 kg potatoes peeled and chopped
  • to taste Butter
  • milk Milk for mashed potatoes

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into meatballs.

Cooking Meatballs

  • In a large pan, heat some oil and fry the meatballs until browned on all sides.
  • In another saucepan, combine the heavy cream and mustard. Add the meatballs and simmer until cooked through.

Mashed Potatoes

  • For the mashed potatoes, boil the peeled and chopped potatoes in salted water until tender, then drain.
  • Mash with butter and milk until smooth.

Serving

  • Serve the meatballs on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes.

Notes

You can serve the meatballs on a large platter or in individual bowls. Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley and pair it with a side salad for a complete meal. Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
