Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together the matcha green tea powder and granulated sugar until well combined.
  • Add the heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the bowl. Whisk thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.

Churning

  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

Freezing

  • Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.

Serving

  • Scoop the ice cream into bowls and enjoy this refreshing treat!

Notes

Ensure all your ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing. Store in an airtight container to prevent freezer burn, pressing parchment paper on top to avoid ice crystals. Can be made ahead of time and stored for up to 2 weeks.
