Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 4 pieces skin-on, bone-in chicken thighs Thighs provide more flavor and moisture.
  • 2 tablespoons lemon-pepper seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Sauce

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a lighter option, replace with half-and-half or non-dairy cream.
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice Fresh lemon juice is best.

To Serve

  • Freshly ground pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Rub the chicken thighs with lemon-pepper seasoning and salt evenly over the skin.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  • Transfer the seared chicken to the oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Stir in heavy cream and lemon juice. Simmer the sauce until thickened, stirring frequently.
  • Serve the chicken thighs with the creamy garlic-lemon sauce drizzled on top and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a spicy twist, add red pepper flakes to the sauce. Adjust seasoning at the end of cooking for a perfect taste. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
