Ingredients
  

For the Base

  • 1/3 cup Fresh Ginger, peeled and chopped Use powdered ginger as an alternative if fresh is unavailable.
  • 1/3 cup Fresh Turmeric, peeled and chopped (or 1 1/2 tsp ground turmeric) For a more intense color, use fresh turmeric.
  • 2 Small Lemons, skin and seeds removed Experiment with blood oranges or limes for flavor variations.
  • 1/2 Large Orange, skin and seeds removed Use fresh fruits for the best flavor.
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Enhances the absorption of turmeric.

For Sweetening

  • 1 tbsp Raw Honey or Maple Syrup Swap honey for agave syrup or sugar if preferred.

To Thin and Blend

  • 3/4 cup Filtered Water Add more water if the mixture is too thick.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients together. Peel and chop the ginger and turmeric, remove the skins and seeds from the citrus fruits.

Blending

  • Add all the ingredients into a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth and well combined.
  • If using ground turmeric, add it after blending to avoid unwanted staining.

Straining (Optional)

  • If you prefer a smoother shot, strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove pulp.

Serving

  • Carefully pour the mixture into shot glasses or small bottles.

Storage

  • Store the shots in the fridge for up to 5 days. Shake well before consuming!

Notes

Enjoy these shots chilled first thing in the morning. For added benefits, consider adding chia seeds or spinach.
