  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha or other hot sauce Adjust to your spice preference.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cups cooked rice Serve beef mixture over this.
  • 2 green onions sliced For garnishing.

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  • Add minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, sriracha, and sesame oil to the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  • Serve the beef mixture over cooked rice and garnish with sliced green onions.

Notes

You can add fresh vegetables or a fried egg on top for additional flavor and nutrition. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days. To reheat, warm in the microwave or on the stove until heated through. You can also freeze the cooked beef mixture for 2-3 months.
