  • 4 cups green cabbage, sliced Shredded into thin strips.

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with full-fat coconut milk for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Nutritional yeast can be used as a dairy-free alternative.
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning Adjust spice level as desired.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

To Serve

  • Additional grated Parmesan cheese (optional) Garnish as desired.

Preparation

  • Slice the Cajun sausage into bite-sized pieces and shred the cabbage into thin strips.

Cooking the Sausage

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned, approximately 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Sautéing the Cabbage

  • In the same skillet, add the shredded cabbage and sauté until softened, about 4-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Making the Sauce

  • Add the heavy cream, freshly grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Cajun seasoning to the skillet. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.

Combining and Serving

  • Return the cooked sausage to the skillet, mixing everything until well combined.
