For the Sandwich

  • 4 slices Bread Thick slices like sourdough or whole wheat work best.
  • 1/2 cup Blueberries Use fresh blueberries for the best flavor.
  • 4 tablespoons Cream cheese Spread on one side of the bread.
  • 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded Can substitute with mozzarella or goat cheese.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter For grilling the sandwich.

Preparation

  • Spread cream cheese on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Layer blueberries and shredded cheddar cheese on the cream cheese side.
  • Top with another slice of bread, cream cheese side down.

Cooking

  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Grill the sandwich until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Notes

Serve warm with fresh fruit or soup. For added sweetness, sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Leftover sandwiches should be cooled, wrapped, or stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet for the best taste.
