For the Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional) Add for extra spiciness.
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Pound the thickest part of the chicken breasts to ensure even cooking.
  • In a large bowl, combine all spices: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried parsley, dried mustard, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Add olive oil and chicken, and toss to coat.
  • Place the seasoned chicken breasts in a greased baking dish, ensuring they are spaced apart.

Cooking

  • Bake the chicken for 18-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for several minutes before slicing to maintain its juices.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken for a few hours before baking. Resting the chicken is crucial for juiciness.
