  • 1 tablespoon jasmine flowers Optional; can be skipped if not available.
  • Honey or sugar To taste.
  • Lemon slices Optional; adds extra zest.

Preparation

  • Begin by bringing 2 cups of water to a boil in a kettle.
  • Remove the kettle from heat and add 2 teaspoons of jasmine tea and 1 tablespoon of jasmine flowers, if using.
  • Allow the tea to steep for 3-5 minutes, adjusting based on your preferred strength.
  • Carefully strain the tea into cups, discarding the loose tea leaves and flowers.
  • Sweeten with honey or sugar according to your taste, and add a slice of lemon if desired.
  • Serve hot or chill to serve as iced tea.

Notes

You can prepare jasmine tea a few hours in advance. Store it covered in the fridge and consume it within a day for the best taste. While reheating is possible, it may lead to a loss of floral flavor.
