  • 1 cup hot cocoa mix
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Make sure butter is softened for easy mixing.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Mix-ins

  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Feel free to adjust the amount based on preference.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the hot cocoa mix, flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  • Fold in the mini marshmallows and chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cookies look set.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

These cookies can be served warm, straight from the oven, or at room temperature. Pair them with a glass of milk or a cup of hot chocolate for a delightful treat. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week or freeze for up to three months.
