  • 6 pieces boneless, skinless chicken thighs You can use chicken breasts for a leaner option.

For the Sauce

  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • cup honey Agave syrup can be used for a vegan alternative.
  • ½ cup ketchup Homemade ketchup can offer a fresher taste.
  • ½ cup soy sauce Low-sodium soy sauce may be substituted.
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano

To Serve

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.
  • ½ tablespoon toasted sesame seeds For garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the chicken thighs in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, honey, ketchup, soy sauce, and dried oregano.

Cooking

  • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily pulls apart.
  • For extra flavor, after cooking, remove chicken and simmer the sauce over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until thickened.

Serving

  • Plate the chicken, and garnish with fresh parsley and toasted sesame seeds.

Notes

For a touch of elegance, consider serving with a sprinkle of microgreens. Do not overcrowd the crockpot for even cooking.
