  • 4 medium ripe tomatoes Use ripe, firm tomatoes for best flavor.
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/4 cup cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice Freshly squeezed for best taste.
  • 1 small jalapeño Remove seeds for less heat.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.

Preparation

  • Chop the tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and jalapeño into small pieces.
  • In a bowl, combine the chopped ingredients.
  • Squeeze fresh lime juice over the mixture and add salt to taste.
  • Stir everything together until well mixed.
  • Let it sit for at least 30 minutes for flavors to meld before serving.
