Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour For the dough base.
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar For sweetness in the dough.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced Keep it cold for the best texture.
  • 1/4 cup cold water To form the dough.

Filling and Topping

  • 1/2 cup fruit jam or filling of choice Choose your favorite flavor.
  • 1 unit egg (for egg wash) To give the pop tarts a golden finish.
  • to taste sprinkles or icing Optional for decoration.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the flour and powdered sugar.
  • Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Gradually add cold water and mix until a dough forms.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
  • Place a tablespoon of jam on half of the rectangles, leaving space around the edges.
  • Top with another rectangle and seal the edges with a fork.
  • Brush with egg wash.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool and add sprinkles or icing if desired.

Notes

Store leftover Homemade Pop Tarts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for longer freshness. Reheat in the oven for best texture. Experiment with different jams or fillings for unique flavors!
