Icing Ingredients

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  • Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Cut into heart shapes and place on baking sheets.

Baking

  • Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool on wire racks before decorating with icing.

Notes
