Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For Sprinkling

  • Cinnamon sugar Mixture of cinnamon and sugar

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, combine the coconut sugar, applesauce, almond milk, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  • Use a spoon or cookie scoop to drop the batter onto the prepared baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These churro bites are best enjoyed warm, served with extra cinnamon sugar or dipped in chocolate sauce or yogurt. Store in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for longer storage.
