  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese To add creaminess after cooking.

Cooking Steps

  • Sauté diced onion and minced garlic in olive oil over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks for about 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  • Stir in tomato paste, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Pour in the broth and add rinsed orzo pasta. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender; stir halfway through.
  • Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.

Notes

Serve hot, garnished with more grated Parmesan if desired. Pairs well with a green salad or crusty bread. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge before reheating.
