Ingredients
  

For the salmon

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Healthy fat for cooking and marinating.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice Brightens flavors.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds depth and flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill Can substitute with dried dill (1 teaspoon).
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for seasoning.
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dill, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  • Arrange the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and drizzle the marinade over them. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Cooking

  • Set your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  • Remove the salmon from the grill and serve with lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.

Notes

Fish cooks quickly; avoid overcooking. A meat thermometer should read 145°F (63°C) for safety.
