Preparation

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberries, cane sugar, and orange juice.
  • Cook until the cranberries start to burst and the mixture thickens, about 10–15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in Grand Marnier or Cognac and fresh orange zest.
  • Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Store leftover cranberry sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze for up to three months. For variations, consider adding spices like cinnamon or cloves. It can also be served as a topping for pancakes or waffles.
