Ingredients
  

For the Base

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • to taste Salt and pepper

For the Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can substitute with avocado oil.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Can use garlic powder as a substitute.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Can substitute with grated mozzarella or nutritional yeast.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Mix of dried basil, oregano, and thyme can be used.

To Serve

  • to taste Fresh parsley for garnish Optional

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and warm it for about a minute.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Season each chicken breast liberally with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.

Cooking

  • Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over each chicken breast.
  • Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

Drizzle with high-quality olive oil before serving for enhanced flavor. A sprinkle of fresh lemon zest can elevate the dish’s brightness.
