Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken thighs Chicken thighs provide better flavor and moisture.
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can substitute with any cooking oil.

For the Sauce

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme Use fresh herbs if preferred (3x the amount).
  • ½ cup white wine Can substitute with chicken broth or lemon juice.
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter Olive oil can be used as a lighter option.

To Serve

  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Cooking

  • Once hot, add the chicken thighs and sear for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove the chicken thighs from the skillet and set them aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and dried thyme, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the white wine and chicken broth, scraping the browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Stir in 2 tablespoons of butter and cook until melted and the sauce begins to thicken slightly.
  • Return the chicken thighs to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for an additional 5-10 minutes until fully cooked.

Serving

  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot over rice or with crusty bread.

Notes

You can marinate chicken in seasoning for extra flavor. Store cooked chicken in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Use a meat thermometer for doneness.
