Ingredients
  

For the Base

  • 2 cups 2% or 5% yogurt Greek yogurt can be used for a thicker consistency.
  • to taste Sweetener of choice (honey, maple syrup, etc.) Sugar substitutes like stevia or erythritol can be used for a sugar-free version.

For the Filling

  • 1 cup Fresh fruit (berries, bananas, etc.) Frozen fruit can be used as an alternative.
  • 1/2 cup Granola or nuts (optional) Crushed nuts or seeds can be swapped for texture.

For the Molds

  • 8 pieces Cup molds Use silicone molds for easier removal.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt with your chosen sweetener to taste. Adjust until you are happy with the flavor.
  • Spoon the yogurt mixture into your cup molds, filling them about halfway.
  • Layer your preferred fresh fruit on top of the yogurt. You can also sprinkle granola or nuts if desired.
  • Press down gently on the fruit to ensure it sticks to the yogurt.
  • Place the molds in the freezer and let them freeze for at least 4 hours or until solid.
  • Let the yogurt cups thaw for about 5 minutes before serving for easier eating.

Notes

Serve with fresh fruit garnishes on a platter for a colorful display. Ideal for birthday parties as a healthy alternative to cake. You can prepare these cups several days in advance; they freeze well and maintain their taste.
