  • 12 oz chicken breast Can substitute with grilled shrimp or tofu.
  • 4 cups romaine lettuce Mix in spinach or kale for added nutrients.

For the Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing Use a yogurt-based dressing for a lighter option.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Add more for a richer taste.
  • 1 juice lemon Squeeze juice from half for dressing and the other half for serving.

To Serve

  • 2 tbsp olive oil Oil for cooking the chicken.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adjust according to preference.
  • 1 tsp salt Can be adjusted based on dietary needs.
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper Freshly cracked is recommended.
  • 1 cup croutons Consider homemade for better flavor.

Instructions

Cooking the Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook until al dente, about 10 minutes.

Preparing the Chicken

  • While the pasta cooks, pat the chicken breast dry. Season it with salt, black pepper, and minced garlic.
  • In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 6–8 minutes on each side, until no longer pink inside.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing into strips.

Assembling the Salad

  • In a large bowl, place chopped romaine lettuce. Add cooked pasta, Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan, and squeeze juice from half of the lemon over the top. Toss gently to coat.
  • Top the salad with sliced chicken, croutons, and a squeeze of the remaining lemon juice. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, serve immediately to maintain texture. You can prepare the chicken and pasta in advance and store them separately for easy assembly.
