For the Sliders

  • 8 pieces slider buns
  • 1 pound roast beef Use high-quality roast beef for best flavor
  • 1 cup caramelized onions Ensure the onions are caramelized until golden brown for sweetness
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese Can substitute with provolone or cheddar
  • 1 cup au jus (beef broth) For dipping
  • 1 tablespoon salt Adjust according to taste
  • 1 teaspoon pepper Adjust according to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
  • Layer the roast beef on top of the buns, followed by caramelized onions and Swiss cheese.
  • Place the top halves of the buns on the sliders.
  • Brush the tops of the buns with a mixture of melted butter, salt, and pepper.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden.

Serving

  • Serve warm with au jus for dipping.
  • Add some pickles or a side of potato chips for a complete meal.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store the sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave. Consider adding spices like garlic powder or onion powder to the melted butter for extra flavor. For a twist, use deli turkey or chicken instead of roast beef.
