  • 1/2 cup bourbon Can substitute with apple juice or orange juice for non-alcoholic version.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped Feel free to experiment with other herbs.
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, honey, bourbon, water, and salt.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
  • Stir in the chopped rosemary and let the sauce cool to room temperature.
  • Serve chilled or at room temperature as a side dish.

Notes

This sauce can last up to two weeks in the refrigerator or can be frozen for about four months. Thaw it in the fridge overnight before use.
